Michele Poirier

Michele M. Poirier, Chief Investment Officer

Michele is responsible for the design and execution of portfolio strategies, supervising portfolio positions, credit analysis and portfolio risk exposure.

She has been actively involved in the municipal bond market since 1974 with positions in portfolio management, institutional sales, trading and operations.

Prior to founding The Moorings Group in 2003, Michele managed more than $2 billion in municipal bond assets for Banc of America Capital Management and its predecessors in Charlotte, North Carolina. During her 12-year tenure as a director of fixed income, she managed mutual funds and separate accounts. Michele also had supervisory responsibilities for a team of portfolio managers.

Previously she held positions with Bankers Trust Company, Financial Service Corporation (FSC), the Robinson-Humphrey Company and Shearson Loeb Rhoades.

Michele graduated from Georgia State University in 1988 with a B.B.A. in marketing.

 
Connie F. Morris

Connie Morris Partridge, Chief Operating and Compliance Officer

Connie, a member of the investment team, is responsible for developing investment strategies and managing client portfolios. In addition, she oversees the firm's investment operations and compliance functions.

Connie has more than 30 years of experience in the fixed income markets.

Connie’s previous positions include 13 years with the First Boston Corporation in Atlanta and New York and 10 years with Wachovia Securities in Atlanta. Her clients included trust organizations, investment advisors, insurance companies and mutual funds. Her institutional sales role included consulting with her clients regarding their individual securities needs, providing market analysis and offering investment products and strategies.

Prior to joining The Moorings Group, she held an institutional sales position with State Street Capital Markets and Advest Inc.

Connie attended Georgia State University.
